Mr. Ned

Breed: American Eskimo Dog

Age: Adult

Sex: M

Size: M

Meet Ned! Ned is now back on the adoption circuit, quite sadly due to the unexpected loss of his adoptive dad. He was really shaken up by this loss, so he has needed some extra understanding and love, but is now doing much better. Ned is a handsome Mini American Eskimo Dog, approx. 9+ in age and under 20 lbs, approx 18.5 lbs. Ned will prefer to have a quiet home, no children, and no active in-your-face dogs. Ned is generally an easy going boy, as long as things are going his way, as in not too chaotic! He likes to have a space to call his own, but he also loves to hang with his special person and get a good back rub! Ned has lost some of his vision (no meds needed) therefore it is imperative that no one sneaks up on him or tries to touch/grab him from the side or from behind. Ned can get pretty snarky and cranky if he doesn't know that you are coming up to him or if he is over tired from a hectic day. Also, this boy does not like slippery stairs, we feel that much of this is to do with his compromised eye sight as well as accidentally slipping on a wood or tile floor. With the proper carpeting or or even placing yoga mats down, he is much better. He will allow his person to carry him up and down stairs if needed, but a one level home would be ideal for him. Ned would be a perfect dog for someone who is recently retired and looking for a companion now. He is somewhat slow to warm up to new people, but once trust is earned, he is a buddy for life! Ned is neutered, fully vaccinated, Heartworm negative, and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Ned, please send an email to:
